Cabin Camping at Arrowhead March 3-4

Posted on Jan 19 2012 - 9:04pm

Come check out our council's pride and joy, Camp Arrowhead, for some winter cabin camping!  The cabins are wood-heated and do have limited power to them and families are welcome.  If your child is camping, an adult must attend as well.  We'll have opportunities to hike, do a bonfire and flag ceremony, games and maybe work on some astronomy beltloop and pins if the weather cooperates.  Due to some changes within the Ozark Trails Council this year, our camp fees have doubled in price for renting the facilities.  We have been very fortunate in that one of our scout parents has offered to pay for half of our $260 rental fees to help offset the cost to the pack.  The cost for attendence is only $2 per person or a maximum of $10 per family to help cover food, but the pack would welcome any donations to help cover the remainder of the cost of the facilities.  The pack will be providing the main dish for the evening meal Saturday night and breakfast Sunday morning.  We will meet at the church at about 10:30 and caravan down to camp leaving at 11:00am Saturday.  Sunday, we will have breakfast and break camp and be out by lunchtime.  If you have never camped with the pack before, this is a great time to join us.  There are bunkbeds in the cabins, so just bring your pillow, sleeping bag, camp chair and clothes.  Pack up a couple of indoor games and outdoor games depending on the weather and enjoy the weekend with us.  We do have a cabin for the girls too, so don't be squeamish, ladies!  We want you to join us in the great outdoors!  lol
